- Lisa Brownstone, the research coordinator for the University of Chicago Eating Disorders Program under Dr. Daniel le Grange, recently contacted me about a study comparing three approaches: family-based treatment, cognitive behavioral treatment, and supportive psychotherapy. - The National Eating Disorders Collaboration Youth Survey is looking for young people under 25 years to fill out a survey that "will be used to shape recommendations to the government on how we can best prevent and treat eating disorders in young people. TAKE THE SURVEY.
- The Academy for Eating Disorders is offering a Patient/Carer 2010 Conference Scholarship Program, thanks to a generous donation from AED member Donna Friedman and her husband, Randy. Two scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to defray the costs of conference fees, travel, and hotel accommodations for the 2010 ICED. For more information please click here.
